Leading with
Self-Mastery
Build Clarity, Courage, and Presence in Your Leadership
Your Corps Members are stretched thin. They need more than resilience, they need regulation.
Â
The work your Corps Members do supporting mental health in high-need communities requires more than good intentions. It requires leaders who can stay grounded under pressure, recognize their automatic patterns before they undermine connection, and lead with presence even when the work is overwhelming.
High-stakes conversations with youth in crisis. Vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue. Complex family dynamics and systems navigation. Pressure to "fix" problems they can't control.
Reactive leadership doesn't work in these settings.
Youth, families, and communities need leaders who can stay present, regulate their own responses, and make values-aligned decisions even when everything feels urgent.
This program builds that capacity.
What This Course Develops:
Leading with Self-Mastery isn't stress management. It's self-regulation as a leadership skill. It is the capacity to interrupt reactive patterns, rebuild trust in your own judgment, and lead with clarity when clarity is hardest to access.
By the end of this program, your Corps Members will be able to:
âś“ Regulate under pressure:Â Pause and respond intentionally instead of reacting from stress or overwhelm
âś“ Strengthen decision-making:Â Recognize and interrupt cognitive bias before it undermines judgment
âś“ Build trust with youth and families:Â Lead with consistency and presence, not volatility
âś“ Align actions with values:Â Close the gap between the leader they want to be and the one who shows up in crisis
âś“ Sustain focus in chaos:Â Maintain attention on what matters in high-demand, multi-crisis environments
This program is grounded in decades of research on attention regulation, emotional intelligence, and executive functioning-not motivational fluff.

FACULTY LEADERSHIP...
This course is facilitated by Think For Good’s leadership team, bringing deep experience in leadership development, cognitive behavioral coaching, neuro-linguistic programming, and applied adult learning. Our facilitation emphasizes rigor, reflection, and real-world leadership application.
At the helm is Tray T.S. Deadwyler-the founder of Think For Good, Inc., a certified cognitive behavioral coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner with over two decades of leadership experience.
He is also the author of The Contemplative Morning, a guide to reflection and resilience built on 40 daily insights rooted in ancient wisdom and contemplative practice. The book's core themes: intentionality, courage, service, resilience, and love, align closely with the principles embedded in this curriculum. Both emerge from the same commitment: helping leaders build sustainable practices grounded in clarity, values, and presence.
Tray's approach combines evidence-based frameworks with the kind of rigor that comes from years of walking alongside leaders navigating high-stakes decisions, organizational change, and the tension between what leadership demands and what leaders can sustain. This isn't borrowed content. It's a framework refined through research, practice, and lived experience.

WHY THIS INVESTMENT MATTERS
The cost of reactive leadership in mental health settings isn't measured in dollars, it's measured in:
- Youth who disengage because they didn't feel seen
- Corps Members who burn out mid-year
- Crises that escalate because leaders couldn't regulate their own response
- Families who stop trusting your servant leaders
This program doesn't prevent stress. It builds the capacity to lead through it.
Your Corps members will use these tools every single day-in crisis interventions, family meetings, supervision conversations, and moments when everything feels urgent and nothing feels clear.
