Living and Leading Intentionally

Video Poster Image

This isn't compliance onboarding. It's identity work—helping your members clarify who they are, what they value, and how they want to lead before the service year tests them.

Your Corps will learn:

  • How to discover their personal mission (not what they think they should do, but what they're actually called to)
  • How to identify core values that will guide every decision they make during service—and beyond
  • How to build a strategic roadmap across all Life Domains
  • How to define their leadership signature and live it consistently

The outcome? Members who start service with clarity, navigate challenges with resilience, and finish with confidence about what comes next, because they knew who they were from day one.

WHAT YOUR MEMBERS WILL WALK AWAY WITH

Over 4 hours (delivered as 2–3 sessions or 1 half-day intensive), your members will move through a structured framework designed to build clarity, strategy, and leadership presence.

A Personal Mission Statement That Actually Means Something

A values-rooted statement that guides decisions, clarifies priorities, and helps them make sense of hard choices throughout their service year and beyond.

Why it matters: Members who know why they're serving show up differently. They don't disengage when the work gets hard. They lead from purpose, not just obligation.

A Roadmap Across Life Domains

Service isn't just about the work. It's about who they're becoming while they do it. Your members will leave with clear, actionable goals across domains, so they're not only succeeding in service, but they're also building a life that works.

Why this matters: Members who see the whole picture don't burn out as easily. They know how to sustain themselves because they're thinking holistically, not just grinding through task.

We close with focus on how to live out your mission and story every day. You'll learn how to execute your strategy consistently and effectively. This is where your transformation truly begins to take shape.

Their Leadership Signature

How do they want to show up? What do they want people to experience when they lead? Your members will define their leadership signature—the consistent, authentic way they'll show up in every role, every challenge, every conversation.

Why it matters: Members with a clear signature don't default to mimicking supervisors or reacting to stress. They lead intentionally and that consistency builds trust with the communities they serve.

Clarity on Who They're Becoming

Your members won't just complete a service year. They'll know why they're serving, who they are, and what comes next—because they'll have built that foundation from day one.

Why it matters: Members who start with clarity finish with confidence. They don't panic at the end of their term asking, "What now?" They already know.

This Experience Is For Your Team If...

  • You're an AmeriCorps program director looking for transformative onboarding, not just compliance training
  • You want to reduce early exits by giving members clarity and purpose from day one
  • You're tired of watching engaged members disengage by month three because they don't know why they're there
  • You believe in the potential of your Corps Members and want to set them up for success—not just during service, but for the rest of their lives
  • You know that great retention begins with great member development, and you're ready to invest early

See The Change We've Made

"I learned a new mindset; the interconnection between what we value, believe, and how we behave - where behavior leads to results. In addition to this, I learned how important it is to be intentional with my words, and how setting goals is key in seeing results."
- Marcella B.

"I am excited to reframe my story and answer the question of what I really want. Seeing how it relates to my values and not looking at what I don't want. "

- Celine B.
"I am able to see a clearer path to my future, what I can accomplish and offer others during the process of discovery to becoming my true self."
 - Sara B.

"We need more of this kind of support in service programs. Real talk. Real growth"

- Julie M.

"This was the first time I felt like leadership training actually matched the work I do in the community."

- Timothy M.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Is Where It Begins

Your members are about to step into a year that will shape them. They'll face challenges that test their resolve, moments that clarify what they believe, and decisions that define who they're becoming.

Most programs hope their members figure it out along the way.

You don't have to.

Give them the foundation before the service year tests them. A personal mission they can return to when the work gets hard. Goals that connect service to the life they're building. A leadership signature they can practice every single day.

Members who start with clarity don't just survive their service year—they lead through it.
